Get Hooked On Books!
Checkout Limits Kindergarten students may check out one book to be kept in the classroom. First grade students may check out two books to be kept in the classroom. Second, third, fourth, and fifth graders may check out two books and may take their books home. Parents may check out eight books or other materials at a time. Books must be returned by their due date which is three weeks from the date they are checked out. There are no overdue fines, however students may not check out a new book if they have one that is overdue. Lost and or damaged books will result in a fine or replacement charge. Classes
Students will be coming to the library every week with their class. During class time we will enjoy a library lesson or read aloud followed by book check out. The library is available daily from 8:15-8:30 and 3:00-3:15 for open checkout with a pass from the teacher. The library is also available everyday after school until 4:00 for checkout. ccelerated Reading Program
Accelerated Reader (A.R.) is a reading progress monitoring program. Students in second through fifth grade participate in this program. Books in the library are marked with their reading level, making it convenient for students to select and read books at their level.
